question to the devs

Post by zany »

why do basic game play mechanics of the game get changed without talking about changes first?
is any dev allowed to do what they feel like without consulting anyone?
when the dev is wrong as the poll show then why are their changes still allowed in?
who is in charge of letting everything in or picking new devs?

Some of changes could be accidental.
Often patches are put on trac before merging.

If you're talking about the the map showing without a command center in campaign thingy, it has already been said that it was a bug that slipped in.

it is lots of little things that keep changing for no reason. see my bug reports in the main thread. yeah I think they are bugs since 2.3.9 had them they were removed for no reason in 3.1

Bug reports belong here: http://developer.wz2100.net/newticket

If you have a question about a specific change, or want to make a point against a specific change start a new thread.
This is why some features aren't implemented: http://forums.wz2100.net/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=7490&view=unread#p87241

not one reply  they keep breaking things in game again and don't fix it. savegames have been broken forever and no fixes.

That is also obviously unintended... The bug is obvious, but what causes it may actually be quite hard to find. It will be fixed once a fix is found.

Meanwhile, you can demand your money back :P.

Or even better, try to find issue source yourself, fix it and send patch. ;-)

.

A constructive response worth duplicating here for all who may not grasp the heuristic details & nuances of collaborative software development.
