Problem with loading games

Post by Biogenesis »

Hey, I'm new here by the way ::)

Onto business... I've recently got WZ2100, and its awesome, but I have one slight problem, I can't load games. It was working before, then today, I went back on... and when I load, it says this:

"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

However, if I go Campaign -> New game, it works perfectly. And loading did too, then I tried Skirmish, the set-up screen was slow and unresponsive, so I closed the game through Task Manager.. And now I can't load! =(

---
EDIT: I've updated to 2.0.7, now skirmish works, but loading still doesn't.
---

I'm also on Vista, if it makes a difference.

Thanks in advance!

An stderr.txt file should be created in the same directory where you've got warzone installed. Attach it to your posts here, it may help us identify the problem.

We don't officially support Vista, though if it is a non-Vista related issue we might still fix it.

‎"to prepare for disaster is to invite it, to not prepare for disaster is a fools choice" -me (kim-lav_coyote25-metcalfe) - it used to be attributed to unknown - but adding the last bit , it now makes sense.

EDIT: Forgot to say... I've started afresh, as I was only on Mission Alpha-4 ish. So I've started again... and I'm about on Alpha-3. Loading works for that one, but still not for the other one... Maybe slomething to do with the map?

Well, if I remember correctly, none of the developers have it, so how could we? Vista-only bugs will have to wait until there is a developer with a Vista-box who can debug and fix them...

Sorry for the late response (just finished my preliminaries last week). Either way, I haven't seen an error message of that kind before, though I'm pretty sure that something about the map is wrong. Possibly corrupted data (however unlikely this may be).
