Cannot host games - Apple Airport Express router
I attempted to start up a server for a friend of mine and I to play on, but it simply doesn't work. I port-forwarded public and private TCP port 2100, unblocked it on my firewall, and even forwarded public and private UDP ports 2100, but it simply doesn't work.
I'm using an apple Airport Express with firmware version 7.6, and radio type 802.11n. I'm hosting from a Windows 7 laptop, 4 gb ram, wi-fi connection. I can host many other games such as Garry's mod, Minecraft, and Counter Strike: Source, but I don't see why I can't host Warzone. Can anyone here help?

Can you screen-shot and post here your router configuration? Are you sure your internet service provider isn't blocking incoming connections on unusual ports?

I never have had problems with my ISP blocking ports, before. As for my router configuration, I'm not sure what you mean. It's an airport express router, I haven't changed much, only the password.NoQ wrote:Can you screen-shot and post here your router configuration? Where might I find these logs?vexed wrote:Logs would be nice as well.

Have you ever had an internet-wide server at home before? Warzone becomes one when it hosts games, while most commercial games don't.I never have had problems with my ISP blocking ports, before.

Have you forwarded the port on your router?MP6767_bl wrote:As for my router configuration, I'm not sure what you mean. It's an airport express router, I haven't changed much, only the password.
While most routers use UPnP which warzone can use to forward ports for you, Apple routers use NAT-PMP which is not currently supported; so if you have not already done so check your Airport config and make sure the port is forwarded there.

Problem solved! You can host games using a virtual private network, and local IP addresses.
