Flame not works correct

Get some help with creating maps or modding.
Need a map editor or other tools, look here!

Flame not works correct

Hi out here,
have installed ALL VERSIONS of Flame. But ALL have same probs. They are not loading a PART of tile-set and objekt data. Some Pies are not loaded (but still there) and so flame is not running correct. Its loadind but nothing in.

I use 1.10 Version now. This is running, but is not compiling TREES and HOUSES correct (Blue buildings).

Is there a version available asap ?? which is working well??

.net is on, all is installed correct.

So let me start :)

I used 1.10 about year ago and then it was already old version.. now we have 1.24 version so 14 times better that the one you have been using now.

Honestly for the first time in my histiry here I begin to think if this is an provocation :lecture: however..

So please look here at this Mapping Moding section at the top there is a flame thread, just read it and download the current version, or any very curent :)

Secondly the blue bildings or shall i say any structures are not a result of an error but of your mistake. Particular structures can be used only with particular tilesets, so Arizona uses different, Rocky Mountains Different, And Urban Different, for example if you put trees on Arizona map, when you run the map all of them will be as you have said "blue" or if you will place a skuscraper on Rocky Mountains map, they will be blue too. Read on this Mapping thread more and you will see it was explained a lot of times, but the best way is to try it an learn by yourself.

All the Flame versions works very good except some small errors, not necessarily visible by all the users.

So please before judging ask if there is an error ? not claim it, as it might be you who does something wrong..

Works for me. Give more details. Post error messages if any. Post screenshots of what you think to be wrong.

In master, all features work on all tilesets.

Hi and thx for quick reply.

I installed now Flame 1.24 again. Aslo Tile and object data linked to.

After starting this comes up:

(Warning) Load object data: Loading PIE "drcytran.pie". PIE texture "page-15.png" was not loaded --- and
(Warning) Load object data: Loading PIE "prhnaval1.pie". PIE texture "page-28-naval.png" was not loaded

Both PIEs are correct in the folder.

We have tested this on 3 different CPs, and ALL comes up with these error messages !!
(2 times Win 7 32bit - 1 time XP)
These Errors we get with all versions, except 1.10 Version

Ah yes I forgot, I work for 2.3... al the time so thats why.. but he has blue structures ;) so it is I assume for 2.3...

Well.. you have scared me today with this bacon on the Asphalt Sea and saying something like "some blue here" for a moment I thought nervously omg did I mess the structures? how? and it turned out blue player was taking our oil :P

Hi again,

just want to say, if using Flame with the "not loading pies", I just created nothing more than a map (128 x 128 /Urban and rezised) with 2 Player, each Player 1 command center, 2 oils, 2 trucks. NOT MORE. JUST TEST. When compiling, ALWAYS this error occures: there is no Command Center for player 0, there are no trucks for player 0. -- But there are !!!

Same error for player 1.

Same done on Version 1.10 : works fine

Anyone an Idea???

can you take a screen shot of your map? post it here. also if its not too much trouble, upload your map here, the un-compiled one so someone will be able to have a look at what is wrong.

You didn't put a command center for player 0, obviously. 1.10 doesn't check for that, allowing you to create maps without command centers. If you want us to prove it, post your .fme/.fmap file that you can't compile here.

Hi again,

ref probs with bigger maps.

1st build a map in 64x64 by placing all player objects. but when you do this on 128x128 its every time saying that player 2 + 3 has no objects. But believe - all objects are there, cause they where 1st placed on 64x64 and THAN resized to 128 - after that, its missing. And when you 1st resize the map and than place all players, irs still not compiling.
Did a short quick sample - on my private server you can download it.

Take a look, as you can see, I placed player 2 from the old to a new position. old position was left side player 3.

I don't see any command centers or trucks for player 2 on that map, exactly as the error messages says.
