Hello Gentlemen,

Recently I use this satellite or radio internet on laptop becuse I have no access to my PC, and it logs me off every few minutes or even less.. I even lost previous post about this case here because when i typed submit I was already logged off. The internet is like a pendrive device plugged in my laptop. Please help me what might be the cause ?? I will try to give further details if necessary.

well, it is an old thing, ie: from phone modems. is called a keep alive, will keep the connection untill such time as you disconnect it... dont know if there is still such a thing out there... google it. just a FYI from one that started out with a 300 baud modem years ago on a commodore 64.

Merowingg, what browser are you using? Just curious, i've experienced random session closing under Opera on some websites (not here though).

As for why it happens, not sure, since I had this happen to me as well.
The timeout period is well over 1 hour...

have you tried to tamper cookies expire date to next year?, i used it in this and some other sites.most of them never ask me to re-login.

Gentlemen none of the advices helped it is so annoying......

What is more it even happens that i type nick paasword it says you were succesfully logged in and it shows me loading page again.. sometimes after those two trials i click on showcase for example and I am already loogeed off.. i tired keep me looged in..

Thank you for the lazarus thing !! i dint remember the name i have it on my Pc since i typed a very long post over one hour and losed it due to extendet time so i was logged off.. then i found it on the interent, but now thanx to vexed i have it here too. I am on my fathers laptop with satellite connection what you know already. Please any other suggestions gentlemen ?? and i dont know how to try this cookies thing and is it safe in menaing i dont want to mess things here.. any other ideas ?? agh i bet i will be logged of now again..

Your cookies are either 'session save' or the permanent ones. See how it is storing them for this site.

this wouldn't fix your internet but if you type of your post in word or something and just copy and paste on to the fourm as fast as you can it would stop you from losing your posts

i agree - do up your post in a test editor. when completed you can just do a copy and paste.
