* It was the old WZ original HP & domain but those vanished forums didnot contain the 25,000 + posts from the original Pumpkin moderated Xtreme WZ bbs.
* Those original 25, 000 + post Pumpkin bbs, IMHO, were a treasure trove that the subsequent Fileplanet forums didn't even come within an iota of replacing (they were so pale and lifeless in comparison it made me sad to visit them).
* But the FP bbs did help get newbs oriented for a spell of years to were the WZ lifeblood was actually pulsing. That functionality has been effectively supplanted by this and other vital community sites, IMO.
* GameSpy looks to have gone with a more streamlined organization by making their forums Genre-Based rather individual titles (which may or may not have the same appeal to game fans).
* The person who was moderating the File Planet WZ bbs is in the WorldForce Clan, if I recall. I don't see where he is still part of the GameSpy re-org and if that's the case he may have lost his annual ticks to the E3 show which could have put him in a bad mood - perhaps even a misplaced vindictiveness (ergo the no welcome to the WFC reg.).
* But that is speculation on my part. WFC has done a lot for the Wz community over years.
* One peep esp outta that group is more missed (from my PoV, anyway) than those FP bbs - & that would be NiKer.
* Lav C - you know what's up with the Nikester ? Just wondering if he's doing OK.....
