Re: adding new maps
In your main Warzone2100 folder (usually C:\Program Files\Warzone 2100)
make a folder called 'maps' in all lower case.
place your .wz and .lev map file inside, then create a skirmish, and it should appear on the list.
lav_coyote25's warzone2100 document project has some downloadable maps, but for some reason I can't seem to download them.
A link to it should be in Main Page > Manual.

Re: adding new maps
those are not downloadable maps - those are maps that were available ( and still available with the map pack converted by rod ).
"to prepare for disaster is to invite it, to not prepare for disaster is a fools choice" -me (kim-lav_coyote25-metcalfe) - it used to be attributed to unknown - but adding the last bit , it now makes sense.

Ooh, where do I get this map pack?
A few of those maps look very interesting.

Re: adding new maps
I've downloaded a map_pack from fileplanet. The file extensions end in .wdg - and I know that most of these maps do work in the v1.10 Warzone Kernel.
However, I cannot get these maps to load into the GPL 2.07 version with Grim's FX.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how to get these maps to work?

Re: adding new maps
Version 2.0.7 is not compatible with .wdgs, as now we use .wz extensions for maps, and game data.
They must be converted, using the WDG explorer. ask around where to get it, cause i myself have no idea.

Re: adding new maps
Thanks for the info. However, I've found some information on wdg-explorer and I see no mention of it being able to convert .wdg to .wz?
The two wdg-explorer.zips that I've downloaded won't run on my computer, something about a COMDLG32.OCX missing or invalid.
There is also a mention of MakeWDG.exe which I can't seem to find anywhere either.
My goal is to find a way to play the 187 maps in the mappack using the mod and since this seems to be beyond my expertise -I'm going to submit a request to the wishlist for a modern way to convert .wdg to .wz - and pray somebody smarter than me will think its a good idea.
Thanks again.

Re: adding new maps
Think someone on wz could convert all old maps and put them in the game ?
Or make a map-pack easy to install and compatible with wz resurrection.
I would prefer to see them in game and give credits where due.

Give credits where due after authorisation of the authors.
The hardest part it to contact them to try to get the authorisation.

You can always find map pack in both formats(.wdg & .wz) on krossfire.net.ru site in warzone2100 section
