Post by Blaze1000 »

Well, i'm new in this forum about Warzone 2100 and I want to play multiplayer. But when i choose to Join MP game, this happens:

It happens both on Lobby and IP options. I tried to host a game, to see if my connection is allowing to connect the wz port, and this happen:

Are you connected to the internet? Is warzone2100 application allowed to connect to the internet by your firewall?
Could you please post the output of

Code: Select all

ping lobby.wz2100.net
command?

Yes, i'm connected, but is strange, even if I deactivate the firewall (that i done when I took those screenshots), it still doesn't connect. I said that IDK how to solve LAN problems, so try to post me a tutorial to how to fix this pls.

connect to what?
you host the game then press host button then the other guy on LAN types in the IP.
if your machine can't find lobby.wz2100.net then that means that your DNS server is broken.

have the same problem and tried what NoQ said:
i typed in "ping lobby.wz2100.net" in my console and all packages get transferred => no problems.
another tip?

(i could successfully play online - even host games - till yesterday. i still have the 2100 udp/tcp ports open. firewall is also not the problem)

when hosting a game the game tells me that "failed to open a connection to port 2100". when i want to join the lobby it says "connection problem" :( but the ports are fine. i could play till yesterday. and i rechecked the router settings. still everything correctly configured.

the only thing that happened yesterday: windows update. what could the windows update do so that my connection doesnt function anymore? i checked the ports. i reinstalled the game. i disabled firewall :(

My guess is you did not configure your PC with a static IP and therefore the router is now forwarding port to the wrong one, as after update it renewed its DHCP lease with the router and now is getting given a different IP.
