Way back in the day I made a map for Warzone 2100 called WinterRidges. Well, not only did I recently discover that this game has been redone to work with modern operating systems, but I was also able to find my old map made in Pumpkin Studio's old Editworld.
So I understand that the new map format must be in the .wz format, which is essentially a zip file with the .wz extension. The old extension is .wdg which is what my map originally was. So I was able to get WDG-Explorer to work on my PC and did the conversion metioned in the guide here:

So after doing so, I fired up Warzone 2100 and my map was in the map menu when I went to Skirmish. As soon as I click to start the game, the loading screen comes up as usual, then Warzone2100 just crashes / quits to desktop without any explaination, right before the skirmish game starts.
So under My Documents\Warzone2100 2.3\Logs, I see there are text log files. So I opened one up and here is what it says:

I see that the last slash is wrong in the first line for the path. However, it is correct in the file itself in "4c-WinterRidges.addon.lev":

What am I doing wrong here? Did I do the conversion wrong? I am attaching my old .wdg file if someone who has successfully made the conversions before could try on their end and see if they get the same result.

Use forward slashes in the addon.lev, not backslashes.

For any directory structure on the hard drive, the "\" should be correct, am I right? That's the way it's laid out above.

if you post in two places then why wouldn't you look in both locations?
