Spoiler maps

Hello all.

Some maps have a particularity so much intense that it make one strategy/behavior so good it destroy the purpose of trying anything else. It create 3 situations that i'll explain here :
  • (rarest) Candid vs Candid = Both players doesn't know was is the key. They might both play without never finding out or one might find the key and earn that victory. Those situations are so rare because the host must have played or created that map before.
  • (common) Veteran vs Candid = The veteran make whatever is needed to win (and therefore win). The candid never had any chance.
  • (rare) Veteran vs Veteran = This things happens but is so much boring (at least for me) when both players try the same strategy. It brake a bit the purpose of a "strategy" game.
As you see, most situations doesn't create satisfactory result. Most of the time, the host execute the plan and win. Beware ! It's not always voluntary. Sometime, the solution is enought subtle that the veteran doesn't realize that he is executing some sort of forced plan.

Here I suggest we report all those maps !! By saying the exact strategy needed to dominate. This might help fair hosts to make better map choice, unfair host to meet more "veteran" (and hopefully stop that) and finaly map makers to avoid those situation any more.

On the south east path and a bit more near the middle there is about 20 oil drums scattered around. That's enough to make an opening with only 5 factories and 5 labs before you start the power generators. And of course a lot more aggressive start then the opponents can handle.

All this year i tought I was using an english word in french. Look like the word is so obscure it is barely documented even in english. http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/stooling . I guess it's a Quebecisme after all...

actually if your wanting that word... it is informant. to inform on or to squeal on, or blab about or advise on, or ... many others will do as well... see english isnt all bad.... :)

Just wanted to notice that my old Snowbridge8 map also suffers from overoildrumming in the middle (16 drums blocked by huts). I'll redo it someday (:

ah ! I'm happy you see that by yourself ! yeah it is on my list.

Many of the SquaredVXX that i've played... same drums in the middle problem.

Nice shot cyp with that oil drum preview.

I believe you killed some cheating maps down there XD .

That particular map was actually one of the maps I used for testing if the oil preview worked.
