Problems on my Mac
I have just downloaded the Warzone 2100 game for the first time, props to the game btw. I'm having problems with the graphics, and I can't seem to pinpoint the problem. Everything loads during the game except the map's textures. I can see the flow of the land, but it is all white. The tanks and buildings are fine. It is just the land itself. Anyone with any suggestions I would greatly appreciate your help.

Re: Problems on my Mac
That is your graphics card's drivers that cause this.

Re: Problems on my Mac
I know there was another mac person that had this issue, and he tried new drivers, and it did fix it for him.ashadipenguin wrote:ok, thanks!! im going to continue to search for drivers. NVIDIA has some on their website, but they didnt help
I don't think they were on Nvidia's site, since apple don't allow Nvidia to have drivers. They must be built by Apple.

Re: Problems on my Mac
These ones should work:
"If you have a Nvidia based Mac on 10.5.6-10.5.9, there is a bug that makes the game look wrong. To fix, upgrade to 10.6 or higher, or use these custom Nvidia drivers."
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofive ... 32089.html
that was in the notes section on our download page. (thanks dak180)

Re: Problems on my Mac
These drivers are not actually "drivers" in the pure sense of the word. This is a Kernel extension for mac designed for people to run mac on a reg x86 machine. It "injects' the Nvidia card's info into the kernel so the kernel "sees" it (and turns Quartz extreme on) but it does not actually supply the drivers for the card to run.
Since I do a lot with mac on x86 computers I have used that a LOT. But do be warned, this kernel extension has been known to cause some systems to crash. If it does crash for you, simply boot into safe mode (hold down shift before the gong boot-up sound) and then delete the file.
