In the current alpha, project funding is directly linked to project progress and runs with it in parallel.
What happened to funding research/manufacturing/building projects in advance?
I’m sure whoever’s made this change has their reasons for it, but having constant streams of outgoing energy rather than lump sums in advance is proving to be exceedingly annoying for me in both base-building and research, I don’t mind it in units so much but it’s still causing a lot more micromanagement than strictly necessary (or rather, than the old system did), and forcing me to change my play stile.
Aside from that I rather liked the quirkiness of it, one of those little details that gives warzone its unique character.
So, does anyone know the reasons for this change? and if it’s going to be permanent with the launch of the next version of the game?

It is a failed experiment. As soon as someone volunteers to rewrite the code again, it is going back to the old way (mostly).
