Stand-alone Missions

Post by Goth Zagog-Thou »

Is there a way to load these? Or would it have to be a campaign mod?

At the moment, there is no way to load individual missions. You have to start at the beginning of one of the three campaigns, or use a save-game.

Or override the fastplay mission, there's a post somewhere about that.
We want information... information... information.

Now I understand what you said.
Really there's no way to load a mission that you did not, but of the missions to jump cheat mode!

Yes... Milo figured it out and also wrote a tutorial on how to do it.

I also scripted stand alone campaign missions for v.1.10 that ran out of SP Skirmish mode - gamer selected player "0" and you were good to go. These stand alone mission maps had everything that missions running in campaign mode had (including interesting game play Pumpkin never thought to do) except for one thing - player carry over state from one map to a different map (& this would also apply to stand alone mission maps running in Fast Play mode.)

Sure, NP. :)

Ah, you remember .... alas, both my new toys (the Tablet & Kitara musical instrument) won't be shipping for a few more weeks. However ... I'll be leaving the Rocky Mountains of Colorado soon for a 2 week fun-filled stay on the coast of Northern California & I'm very excited about that. :D

Enjoy your trip. :) That's some nice country (in both places). Good for the weary to recharge the ol' batteries.

The business venture progress is slow -- State-level paperwork takes way longer than it should, especially for LLC/Corp stuff. Still doing the waiting game, and we can't do anything until we have that.

Thanks bud. :) I will & it is marvelous country on both ends. That too, the 'ol batteries.

Best advice I have come across in many a year for creating and running your own business is presented by Jason Fried in his book "Rework" (published last March) and also on his company weblog, Signal vs Noise (which additionally has much of the content from the book).

Jason Fried is the co-founder and President of "37signals", a small (& very deliberately so) but highly successful, privately-held, Chicago-based company established in 1999.

Time well spent while awaiting your LLC papers to come to term. If you look into it, I believe you will not regret the investment of attention. Nothing quite like the challenges of being your own boss, creating value and wealth for your self and others in RL. Prime mover stuff that, being part of making the world go round as it exists is no exaggeration. :hmm: After all TANSTAAFL, not even in a "free" open source game like WZ. :3

Good luck with the tutorials!
Learning how to write scripts for fastplay was how I learned cam scripting.

Which reminds me, I need to find some time to work on cam4 :P
In general, if you see glowing, pulsating things in the game, you should click on them.
