actually I played the map with other 3 friends against normal computers and we got smashed, and we tried 3 times...!!! different strats every time, the one that allowed us to last longer was to make a huge wall around us, and try to work or way out, but eventually the uber lack of money killed us.

I really enjoy your map; it's one of my favorites. I've only played it in T3.
I first played it taking the lower-left outer base teamed with 3 standard AI teammates against the 4 standard AIs in the middle. It took me a few games to survive and win. In one game, the center team completely killed one of my AI teammates adjacent to me in upper left base. Then one of the four center team AIs decided he wanted that base for himself and built up his own base over the ashes of my fallen comrade. I have never seen AIs build factories and such on a captured enemy base before. That was just too cool!
How I really like to play this map, is with 4 AIs on the outer bases and just myself in the middle (I turn off the three AIs). While this gives me enough power, it really forces me to build just enough buildings to get by, and to move lighting fast! You need to focus more on power research and building defenses in the early stages of the game. I don't even bother with mobile combat units at this point. I also have never built a wall around the whole middle base--there is just no time! I usually do not even build an HQ until I have enough defenses to withstand the constant rush attacks.
Instead, I build several lancer/tank Killer/Sourge hardpoints in short wall formations interposed between the outer most power resources in the center base area and each gateway leading to that area. Since enemy AIs will come through the corner gateways first, I build those defenses first (more in an L-shaped wall). I backup each such mini-fort with AA, mortars, and CB and sensor towers. Meanwhile I build rows of howitzers on the short ends of my base (top and bottom edges just a couple tiles N and S of the row of power resources that are closely spaced).
I take a lot of casualties early on, so my factories are set to keep cranking out Trucks and Combat Engineers. And if the AI I was using were better (I haven't started playing with mods yet), I would surely die right away every time.

It is incompatible with 2.3.8
Anyone willing to update it? Would probably make for a great multiplayer comp stomp if this map could be modernized...

Any chance this guys problem (#3124) is related to multiple versions of this map being available under the same file name?
