I can not find a working VTOL Truck

I have poured through these forums for two days, I have downloaded about 8 mods all stating that they have a VTOL Truck, yet none of them have worked for me.

I have also tried combining all of the VTOL Truck mods with tons of different versions of Warzone 2100 2.x.x. Nothing is working.

I want a damn VTOL Truck, the regular AI always puts the wheeled trucks in the 1 place that will get it pinned between two buildings.

Link me something that works please. Preferably with the latest 2.3.8, as it has no dinky graphic add-ons, as well as the original power management system.

Also I know I am not the only schmuck who couldn't get to work... This forum is littered with people wanting VTOL Trucks and have problems getting them to work.

The Nexus mod has VTOL trucks I think, but you won't find a vtol truck in the base game.

I believe that the cyborg transport solve a lot of those requests.

cyborg transport can build things???? yes, i dare ask this question, knowing the answer is no. vtol trucks can build, and build while perched on things. i have yet to see a normal truck perform this feat. also vtol trucks can assist one another with out the pushing and shoving of others if you assign say 5 trucks to build something. now, do you see why WE ALL want the vtol truck option in the darn game. thanks for reading and understanding.

No need for VTOL trucks, they can just use their horn to move other trucks out of the way.

The only way to get a VTOL truck is editing the TEMPLATE.TXT

What have you got against trucks that honk ?
Doesn't that solve all the problems ?

p.s, VTOL trucks would throw the balance WAY off, you would need AAA from the get go to stop them.

  2. Fly to the enemy base and build a sensor.

Well, even though it's not that much of a challenge (plasmite bombers could be worse, and these sorts of things are still possible with borg transports anyway), it still shakes the balance a lot.

wheel => htrack => hover => track => vtol => super armored F1 => Climber (spiders that can walk on cliff) => copter.

Then copters will be stationary enough for trucks. I think.
