Picture shows the lowpoly with baked normal and ao.
@Olrox: Ironically, I got the references from googling "new york slum". I think the european association might come from the building still being totally clean, or maybe just from it being only 5 floors high...
@Mangust: Don't worry, you need to build something before you can tear it down ;)

Probably, yeah. I mean, If you google amsterdam, for example, you'll get hundreds of pictures of one brickwork building next to another, I guess that turned into a stereotype in my head, unfortunately - have in mind, I've never been in Europe for accountable reasons.

Probably making if with a considerable ammount of soot - especially because bricks are porous in nature, and therefore absorb more soot from the cars' smoke than, let's say, concrete - will make it look more like a city (once) packed with cars.

About the proccess of making it entirely clean before tearing it down (partially, of course), I say you hit on the spot of high quality, solid productions, as opposed to those 90% of all content that fall under sturgeon's law. This way, you are making extra sure that the damaged building could be an entire building one day, and not simply scattering piles of rubble around.

Nice on that!

I'm sure that devastation will be portrayed in the end, more or less, along similar lines as these examples (defunct 2200, master Grim).

Are these available for download/integration? It would be a shame to just let them pass away into the forgotten...

To my knowledge (& surprise) Grim Ok'd the release of all his WZ art assets from 2200 some 3 - 4 months ago (with the appropriate licensing as well). However, no public repository has as of yet been set-up.

This is a free (although not open source) 3d program with some seriously crazy features. It is hard to describe since its workflow is so drastically different form other 3d packages (well it allows sculpting etc but most of its tools are totally unique).

Maybe not such an exciting update, but I started on the medium wheels.
Current lowpoly is 116 triangles. Any suggestions on the design?

On the original model, there is this edge on the top of the guard that separates the horizontal part over the last wheel from the sloped part over the middle wheel. I always felt this gives it a nice, dynamic look. You could try to preserve that. A one-by-one transition will not work though because you made all three wheels the same size. But take a look at this WW2 german Sd. Kfz 234:
