not sure if anyone is interesting, but morrowind was a classic RPG, while there was a project to revamp the graphics, the project was pulled as the main package author didn't ask for permission of the mod authors, and they kicked up a stink and the mod was pulled
Anyway, there is another package in the works, called morrowind overhaul, the main author, Kingpix, has gained the permission from mod authors to use in the package, the package doesn't change the gameplay, (but there will be a follow up package later that will do that) but mainly it enhances the graphics and sounds of the game,
if you are interested, the link to the site is here certainly worth checking out if you liked morrowind, however the package is farily resource heavily, you need at least a shader model 3 card or above to really see the difference, but then again, you also need a decent CPU, as the game is still very CPU heavy
anyway, there is another game / project I think should be worth mentioning, in case people don't know,
Freespace 2 source code project, can be found here this is still a great game, you still need to legally own the game, (as the game vids, ships etc is still commercial) but the engine is open source, and the project does a great job of revamping the game, for those that don't know this game, its a tactical space sim, (combat) but probably one of the finest out there, the project has many user / community made campaigns, as well as many good graphics and HUD tweaks, its a large download mind, but the installer allows you to choose what you want to install. great game, and a real classic, and if you haven't got FS2, you can pick it from GOG (good old games)
so just a heads up on a couple of other projects for classic games in case people are interested

Re: morrowind overhaul and other games
A lot of us play Oblivion, EVE-Online, RIFTS, World of Warcraft, etc.. and I'm aware of the Morrowind Overhaul Project. Very promising, indeed.

Re: morrowind overhaul and other games
I just got morrowind a little while ago and haven't had the time to go mod hunting yet. Thanks for the link
In general, if you see glowing, pulsating things in the game, you should click on them.

Re: morrowind overhaul and other games
well, for me, morrowind is far better then oblivion, I just feel morrowind is a far better game, and a lot deeper, PS, to get the overhaul package working, you need both expansions, plus the latest version of directx 9c, and net framework 2 and 4
I find that the package is overhaul stable, there is an optimiser program included, that changes the FPU instructions to SSE, and so nice with distant lands enabled, (needs a shader model 4 card or above) (shader model 2 cards don't handle distant lands very well) but you can see far into the distance, rather then seeing fog most of the time
so once you got the package installed, plus patched, the game really does look awesome, highly recommended if you like morrowind
