Building no aggressive units

Post by egg »

Having completed the single player campaign twice, I tried again, with the restriction of building no mobile aggressive units, This simple rule had to have an exception in the early stages of the game because no static aggressive emplacements are available, so I limited myself to the Viper Machine Gun.
The Viper Machine Gun quickly becomes outdated, but it is still possible to progress right through the levels building only the truck and sensor turrets on mobiles: some levels actually seemed to be easier this way! Any mobile aggressive units which are 'donated' during the campaign are useful, and should be used carefully.
I recommend this approach to anyone wishing to polish their WZ2100 skills.

Sooooo..... Do you make mortar pits everywhere and use the sensors to target or something? Personally I think you will always need offensive units.

This approach might be curious, but it won't really teach you to play well, i think.

Yes, plenty of mortars.
I'm not suggesting this as a technique for all occasions, but just a a means of learning more about the game.
