cost of repair

besides building, researching, producing units,
would repairing units also cost you?

and how much (the full extent of the body points until full health?)

and in what builds of the game
(also interested how are things in the initial game - 1999)

Yes, repairs cost power as well, and it depends on the unit. Heavier bodies/Higher tech weaponry = more needed to repair. It's in 2.3.7 and Master (3.0) already.

The initial game from 99 compared to today? Well, it's more stable and supports widescreen monitors, for starters. Check out the stuff for 3.0 (called 'master' and 'trunk') -- lots going on there.

Is this really all we know about repair costs? I assume there is a formula based on manufacturing cost (e.g. repair cost = 50% x manufacturing cost, or something like that), but I can't find it documented anywhere.

I've been experimenting in version 3.1.0, and I can find no evidence that repairs cost power for either droids or structures. Therefore, I believe the claim that "repairs cost power" is either incorrect or outdated.

Repairs used to cost, before 3.1.0. But the cost was usually rounded down to 0.
