Weapons dropped on ground or struck at the ground, do not have an effect on the ground or topology.If effects of explosion can be shown with change in ground topology then it would be more realistic.
But I think entire coding will be needed to be done again for that ?
This will make the maps and scenarios dynamic and unpredictable.

Terrain is too discrete. A terrain tile is many many times larger than a typical bullet or rocket. Terrain should be made much more detailed to implement this idea.

You say "dynamic and unpredictable" like it's a good thing. Sure, it can be, but it can also be a bad thing. But you'll have to say more to convince us it's a good thing.
