Hello all,
While playing in my ilu-2.3.7-research-3-1.wz mod with a couple of good players we realized that there is a big, too big, gap between inferno and thermal armor. That mod does not create the gap, it just increase the length of it. Enough for us to really see it.
Even if the players see flamers coming in research really early, they have no time to get thermal armor before infernos get into their bases. I think something should be done to fix that little imbalance. Particulary if you take into account that players have a lot of grey bodies when inferno first come at and it that, it's already a big killer.
What i would recommend would be to change the thermal armor prerequisite as soon as composite alloys mk2 but in counter part increase it's cost by around 1.5x . So players could have it quite earlier but would have to really be sure they will make use of it. Which will contribute to the depth of the game. Inferno rushing players will do less visible damage, but will force opponent to spend more in counter.
