Master 20110228 Crashing

Every time i play the game, it last 5 min then freezes. Windows pops up with the, "the program is not responding. windows is checking for a solution" thingy. Any reasons as to why?

Update: Now, as soon as I start a skirmish game, it crashes; instead of freezing during the game. I get an error message saying "[scrValDefLoad] scrValDefLoad: couldn't find object id 161245".

And a message from C++ Visual Runtime Library saying "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way"

not much info but every lead helps. i also have had that error a few times on win7 machines.
(inlaws computers, too far away to get specs atm and oldies wouldnt know how, lol)

Appologies on my grammer, what i meant to say was more like 'i know im not providing much info but,'

i dont have access to the machines in question at the moment, but the tech guys would have liked things such as stderr.txt and game saves if possible e.t.c

all i can provide is from memory and that is so far, with a good cross reference of hardware/drivers and operating systems, i have only encountered this error on win 7 machines.

I am running windows 7. There is no stderr.txt file on my computer, i ran a search and nothing came up. could that be the problem?

And I will upload the savedgame if it might help.

Game continues to randomly crash and freeze on me. Some of the time it never starts and throws error (on uploaded screenshot).

Stderror.txt is not generated by all versions anymore. Instead it puts a file in the logs folder. the logs folder should be in the same place as saves, screen shots, and maps.

There seems to be something really wrong with the scripting system on Windows. I suspect some fallout of the BOOL->bool conversion, but it might be something else.

I think I'll wait till a more stable version comes out, and if I am still having problems with that then I will repost something about it. There are just too many things it could be right now.
