I see, and that is your perogative. I think people referring to cheaters as being noobs is a problem for new players. Often players join my games and say boot the noob. By saying this they are referring to the player with a pacifier for rank that just entered the room. I do not boot the player with a pacifier, I boot the player that does not want to play with new players, that is my perogative.brakenfur 54 wrote:i usally only play games organized an irc just to weed out noobs or the cheaters

Re: A new veiw on being called a "cheater"
For me games go well if pings are decent and stay decent so I check the pings on alliance screen often. By decent I mean less than 300. Even better is 200 or less. Pings of 500 do not go well, will seem choppy, pings around 400 is playable but not to good (it won't seem choppy but actual battle well seem slower than normal). Its not like I can be picky about pings because there are not many playing Master. If I were to host game with high pings in any other version of Warzone the game would not go well either. The difference is Master keeps the game in sync and does not crash. What I don't know is if this holds true for a 10 player game, because it hasn't happened yet.effigy wrote:At the moment, I'd say the alpha's are stable enough for some MP play, but it can be a little choppy. If you stick to small maps, and don't go unit or structure crazy (limits have gotten a bit of a ridiculous increase) you should be ok.

Re: A new veiw on being called a "cheater"
I've joined a 10p game, but several player slots had to be filled by AI, so not quite the same. As a joiner, it didn't feel much worse than any other game I've joined on a master buid.
FWIW, I've seen less than a handful of master games in the lobby that weren't organized in IRC.

That does never worry me. I never cheat, I don't like cheating, if I have to lose, I'll lose having fun, not cheating.
If I cheat, I get bored. I play to have fun, not to win.
That's why I'm known as never cheating, but almost always losing on any game. heh.
I think I'm better at developing or helping than playing.

Playing the master versions doesn't completely prevent getting called a cheater, even if it's less common.
In master, I was told that my units were too strong and that I was cheating (for the record, I wasn't). Maybe people suspect cheating when there's a lack of random explosions in the enemy armies?

Doesn't being a developer automatically make you a cheater? =3

At least one person seems to think that, someone said something about cheating and editing in MSVC, and I said I used kdevelop. And someone somehow seemed to take that as an admission of cheating.effigy wrote:Doesn't being a developer automatically make you a cheater? =3![]()

I was in that game. Keep in mind it is common place that players cry cheat in many other games besides Warzone. I think somehow they get some satisfaction from it by trying to make you feel like you didn't win.Cyp wrote:At least one person seems to think that, someone said something about cheating and editing in MSVC, and I said I used kdevelop. I see some that are accused in games that don't cheat. On the other hand I have caught cheaters in games and verified it with the logs, yet nobody said anything while playing the game. Funny how that works.

Lol we got burned by that earlier. Some noob "DooMEr" I think got slot 0 for hosting, and he wiped everyone. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.Black Project wrote:I was only being called a cheater in the first days playing Warzone online on the last year, the match was a NTW-like cheat map with the player/slot 0 having Gauss Cannon Tiger Hover units on the south bases.
