I can't find any other related posts so forgive if it has been mentioned before but in later missions I can't select the second page of the build menu (VTOLS, AA Guns etc) when there are more than four build pages (icon refuses to be clicked doesn't light up etc). The build menu seems to be very sticky anyway and it won't let you go back and forwards through it but not being able to get to the second page is really annoying and is really spoiling my game. Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas how to fix?
Am using version 2.3.4-1 downloaded from the Synaptic Manager, using Ubuntu 10 running on EEE1000. Have re-installed three times now and same problem everytime. Game runs sweet as, way smoother than it did on my venerable PS1 so massive kudos to those involved, apart from this irritating glitch that is.
Please don't tell me to download the new version from the site as all that compiling and what not blows my mind and is akin to necromancy or turning lead into gold in my simple world. Is their another easy install version for simpletons like me, and might that sort it?
Cheers in advance people.

Are you using Netbook edition? Unity (the menu on the left) conflicts with wz. Log out, select your user name and before entering your password goto the bottom of the screen and select the menu the currently has "Ubuntu Netbook Edition" selected. Select "Ubuntu Desktop Edition" and enter your password. Its a different Ui to netbook (Desktop edition uses GNOME), but it doesn't conflict with wz2100.

BTW, if you want the newest version (2.3.7) (and you will to play multiplayer games) download my compiled versions here : (when it finishes uploading it will be here : Sorry my host is playing up, PM me If you want )

EDIT: Once you have downloaded the files, launch the "warzone2100-music_2.3svn-1_all.deb" file first. It will open Ubuntu Software Center. Click install like any other program. Once that is installed, install the "warzone2100-data_2.3svn-1_all.deb" file like before, then once thats done do the last file. Then you can delete the files you just downloaded, and run warzone.

Excellent reply, changing to desktop fixed this little niggle for me. Thanks chap for solving that one. That Unity GUI is annoying and intrusive before it starts to finagle with your software as well. Will PM you for that new version as you've been kind enough to offer. Thanks again.
