Hi everyone ~:C)
im just about to build a game server and i was wondering if WZ2100 could be turned into a MMMO (mini mass multiplayer online) say for up to 20-30 players??
The second thing i wanted to know is what is the biggest map that can be made? anything in the 400 x 400 area?? and if so which programme can be used to do it? i.e flaME or editworld.
if you can think of anything else that might be needed or could help please let me know.
Many thanks

Re: Game server
largest map that wz2100 will accept is 250 by 250. both editworld 32bit beta and flame will do this.Jaxum wrote:Hi everyone ~:C)

your first question. no. why? you would need a lot of individuals with the technical skills to do so. oh, and lots of money - our project is all volunteers, no money, and very few with the right skills.... as for 20 to 30 players... never happen with this project. sorry. this game is 10 plus years old, we have had the source for a bit over 6 years, the community base keeps changing, our coding people are at times , are cross eyed from too much coding and real life. so, if you want, the source is open to all - you can start anytime. and welcome to the forums.

Re: Game server
Actually, supporting 20-30 players would probably be possible without too much work.
There's just the question of how to fit them in the GUI, and the problem of what happens if one of those 20-30 players can't keep up with the game simulation at full speed.

Re: Game server
Most suggestions of this kind are from people with limited experience, the main reason, I think, is because once they learn how to program they ether find a project that interests them more or they realize how much work it is and get discouraged. The few times nether happens are often the times a cool new game comes into being.Jaxum wrote:but my skills are very limited when it comes programming.
In general, if you see glowing, pulsating things in the game, you should click on them.
