Best version to play the campaign on?

Hello, thanks for making playing this game possible on window 7 and such. My question is which version of your build would be the best to relive childhood memories on and play the campaign.

I noticed in these forums that a bug makes this version significantly harder. I don't mind hard mode but when the scavengers can decimate your units on mission 1, well its just ridiculous. I can't imagine what happens later on.

Also, I have the official version. Is there a patch to get that working on windows 7?

Despite all bugs, campaign is still fairly easy.
I don't think any patch exists, or even if it did, that it would weigh much less than the full game.

For me the campaign is alot easier than I remember. ~10 Years probably has somthing to do with it.

Hey, it's not hard to beat the campaign, you can manage to build +15 viper tanks before confronting the Scavs, also some micro when engaging enemies might help you on later missions., however, i might be one day releasing a hardcore campaign mod for Warzone (yeah, Warzone Hardcore will be back!)

Only the scavs are harder (which I don't mind, they were such weaklings before)
Other units like the new paradigm are still at the same difficulty, so don't worry.

I recommend to play campaign on Official Pumpkin Studio Warzone2100 with 1.10 patch. As for WZP verion, so I think 2.2.4 - would be fine

Ah thanks for the replies. I know you can't really lose the game and just mass units up on campaign but when your units are useless it takes some of the fun out of things. You know, protecting vet units and such.

Nice to know that it is just the scavengers. I quit on mission 2 as I didn't want to see what nexus would look like. Probably one shot all my units

I recommended 2.2.4 because it has FMV videos - it better for Campaign mode(more interesting) when 2.0.10 hasn't.

I recommend 2.3.5 because it has the structure blueprint feature, and also the sensor visualization feature. Just use the latest version, it's not that much harder, and difficulty is fun, anyway.

Just beat that mission for the cyborg technology. Commanders make things so much easier. Ah, better late then never.
