What do the player icons mean?

Hi,

I've been trying to find out what the icons/medals are against player names (eg. on single player skirmish set-up screen and multiplayer set-up screen). Is there a list of the icons/medals anywhere?

Note: I'm not referring to unit ranks.

EDIT: It would be great if hovering the mouse over them shows a tooltip stating what they mean.
