true. still, i see them as pitiful creatures and if they get these cheating impulses out in a game and hold off in real life, then the world is a better place for that. kinda like a weird public service.

From what I've heard, the people who make cheats with the intention of misusing them in open source games are considered a laughing stock by the really skilled cheat hackers. This is more than enough humiliation for them. I hope this makes you feel a little better.

It's simply because they do not have the ability to hack the closed source games, which requires a lot more skill. In my opinion, we will continue to see these cheaters in Warzone multiplayer games where they try to display what they can do and ruin games because if they actually were good hackers, then they would have begun by exploiting the most popular online games rather than pick on some of the easiest targets, for instance Warzone2100. And I don't think their skills are ever going to improve.

I don't see how this is "IRC 'crap'" vs. Wz Crap. If any of the regular IRC people are cheaters they are not known cheaters, or are lurkers. This business with BenDib exploded during his first (to my knowledge) visit to the games channel.
