Cannot host/join games online

Hello  I recentlyinstalled  warzone 2100 everything works fine tried playing a friend online and it didnt work. So I came here and downloaded the resurection patch installed and everything seems to work fine, but I still cannot play online. I changed the port on my router to 9999 as it stated to try hosting a game that my friend and I could play. Neither of us can host or join a game when he hosts he is not behind a router/firewall and I am unable to join his games same goes for him. Is there anything else I should be changing or downloading so that we could both play each other online. I do however see 2 games on each of our computers named "Yo Duudeeee" but cannot join either.

As long as the host has forwarded his 9999 TCP and UDP ports you should be able to see him. If the host is behind a firewall that will affect the game also, I typically temporarily disable mine but theres ways you can allow certain ports and programs to pass through. Make sure the host aside from creating the service has also enabled the service. Other than that hosting is a piece of cake!

You don't need any UDP port.
