An entire WZ 2100 demo

Post by Arreon »

This demo has things on it that don't exist in 2.3.5 RC3. Weapons and sounds for example. Things that weren't even implemented in the finished game. This demo was part of an old Eidos demo CD. I saw some interesting things on there, especially in the txt files and audio folder.

EDIT: Please be patient, I'm uploading the other 3 files.

The demo has been uploaded.

The txt files contain something interesting. The weapons.txt file has two things that caught my eye: Rocket-04 Scud, and the Navarone Gun. The Scud rocket is artillery, while the Navarone Gun is a cannon (at least that's what the txt file says).

*edit*
Zarel showed me a site where I could upload the demo, so I did.

The demo I uploaded is quite different from the demos I looked at on that site. The two missions I played on my demo version were the first on the fast play and Alpha 4. The demo the site had involved the Beta campaign (which was awesome by the way :) ).

I also found a campaign editor (Flail13 should take a look at it).

Try using the 3DFX option from the start menu. The game crashes whenever I try to run it in any other mode. Although I haven't had this kind of problem before, I've had funny screen colors before.

Both of these links are dead.

Upload to the forum FTW.
This is why some features aren't implemented: http://forums.wz2100.net/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=7490&view=unread#p87241
