Is SUB_1_7 unwinnable? [SOLVED]

Post by seisatsu »

Just to clarify, it's the single player mission where New Paradigm is scouting for artifacts, and you have to prevent them from escaping the map.

I have literally tried this mission over 20 times. I have come at the enemy from several different angles, I've built the fastest possible units, I've sent 40 units at once. No matter what I try, the enemy always escapes just as I near the landing pad.

I haven't had this much trouble with any other mission. Is the mission broken? Unwinnable? Is there something obvious that I'm missing? I would have liked to have solved the mission myself but that's become impossible.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

The problem is you wait to get 40 units.

Thats three additional transport loads.
You should be moving to *intercept* the convoy from the "get-go" with only your 10 units to stop them *from even reaching* the Landing pad.

Once you stop that convoy, you can take your time and wait for more re-enforcements, take out the scavengers, etc.
Its not a matter of how fast your storm the LZ, its a matter of cutting them off before they get to the LZ.

The flaw with the mission, is that when they wait until they are attacked to fly away.
You should lose almost as soon as they reach the LZ, then that should make it more clear what you need to do.

Hello, for this mission go directly into the canyon (where a blinking red dot), without attacking the other structures (you can do after). In the canyon you will be attacked by two tanks, destroy and recover the artifact. Then more problems.
Excuse me, I'm not very good at English, I use Google Translation

Not bad for a google translation!! (:
Hmm, afaik there are more tanks (and even a couple of lancer cars) down there in the canyon.
