Mod/Map Installer for Windows
A Simple Mod and Map installer for windows 2000+
After installing to use right click on a .wz file and choose how you want it installed.
One thing that should be noted: this MUST be installed in the same directory as the copy of warzone you wish to use it with.
For versions other then 3.0 you will need to edit ShellConfig.ini as detailed in the Readme.
I have learned a new way of registering file types that works on vista+. updated the installer accordingly.

In general, if you see glowing, pulsating things in the game, you should click on them.

It should Never Ever do that unless shellconfig.ini dosn't exist. It could be because your useing the 64bit version of windows I'll check and get back to you.

Re: Mod/Map Installer for Windows
Default values for common versions
For version 2.3.x
For version 2.2.x
For Trunk
The "WZConfigDirName" key should be set to the same value as your config directory name. This should be set that way by default. If your config directory is in a diferent folder than My Documents you will have to replace it with a path relative to the my documents folder.
There are only two things that can cause that message to show. One is if ShellConfig.ini is not in the warzone folder and the other is if "%MyDocumentsDir%\%WZConfigDirName%\Maps" dosn't exist.
For version 2.3.x
Code: Select all
[General]
WZConfigDirName=Warzone 2100 2.3Code: Select all
[General]
WZConfigDirName=Warzone 2100 2.2Code: Select all
[General]
WZConfigDirName=Warzone 2100 trunkThere are only two things that can cause that message to show. One is if ShellConfig.ini is not in the warzone folder and the other is if "%MyDocumentsDir%\%WZConfigDirName%\Maps" dosn't exist.

Re: Mod/Map Installer for Windows
Im sure both of those conditions are satisfied.
Has anyone else got any problems with it on Windows 7?
EDIT: Is it to with the fact that I have other WZ versions installed, like I have C:\Program Files (x86)\Warzone 2100 for 2.3.2 (My most used and the one I tried to use this for) and I also have C:\Program Files (x86)\Warzone 2100 2.3.3, C:\Program Files (x86)\Warzone 2100 2.3.4 and C:\Program Files (x86)\Warzone 2100 Trunk?
