Your AA cannons has an agressive look if compared to generic warzone's default AA guns 8), through it reminds a little a large naval gun from some battleship else or am i wrong?

But anyway, it looks good, we would like to see it textured :)

Nice one, but IMO it looks too fragile for an AA cannon.

Hey Olrox, would you like to send those models via-PM (Private Message - also convert them to .PIE format)?

I would like to make some small changes/improvements in you model in my own point of vision :wink:, i don't have sure if this is the right time to do it, feel free to choose your decision :), since we need more feedback from more people here in the forums to how improve your flak cannon.

The English word "Flak" comes from the German word "Fliegerabwehrkanone", which means "aircraft defence cannon". I don't think it gets any clearer than that. :/

We could call it "AA Flak Cannon" in case people don't know what "Flak" means, but that seems a bit redundant.

Looks really nice :)
@Kuky AA guns are propably not as armored as tank guns, tank guns are designed to be able to take direct hits from other tanks, while the AA gun is seldom the main target. Therefore it has to maximize firepower to prevent bombers from getting in range.

Who ever thought of this deserve a medal ^_^ models are sweet and the idea is very refreshing.I wonder how it will turn out in the balance though.Still applause for the he makers !!!

good, air to air combat, u can initiate that if u set aircraft on patrol and enemy vtol come within range

Sorry for the waiting. Unfortunately, I can't attach files to PMs (I thought that the content-producing members would have permission to attach things again? :hmm: ) - Zarel also asked me to send him the models, and that's why I'm attaching them here.

Those are the .3ds models, split between gun and turret, so getting them converted to pie is very easy with the "3DS2PIE" converter, which anyone can find here on the forums. But BEWARE! - I didn't test it in-game yet, so probably scale and rotation will be wrong, and that's really very, very likely:

I've also attached a .wz I've made exchanging the models for cyclone (or whirlwind, I don't really know) with my own models, but I also didn't test it so I can't guarantee anything:

Both models use the page-17 textures. I'll probably get back into that stuff tomorrow, if no one finished it before that :P

Oh, and license is the same as my truck model (which is used on trunk I think) - CC0. That means anyone can change it as they like and use it anywhere, freely, without having to mention it was me who made it. That's for the comunity!

Maybe some custom sounds could be used for these new weapons. I could always try to make some. :)

Nice idea, I think it'd be nice to have a distinct sound for the flak. Probably the shots would be louder because of the reduced armor.

Here's a video of a 88mm flak firing 3 shots, in 20 seconds (using manually-fed system):

Perhaps our flak will represent a larger caliber gun, so shots would sound even more violent. But taking into account all the mechanisms for auto-reloading and the whole turret structure, perhaps it wouldn't be that greater.

Perhaps adding the air atrittion effect to each shot would be a nice addition :hmm:

Olrox, if you need help in converting your models into pie format with right dimensions, you can send the models vie email. when they will be fixed I'll upload them here. :)
