Some ideas

Ideas and suggestions for how to improve the Warzone 2100 base game only. Ideas for mods go in Mapping/Modding instead. Read sticky posts first!

Hi, im new here :wink:
I have some, i think, good ideas

1. Upgrades to campaign:
-bombard pit since Alpha9, when u can research Bombard; without it you have only mortar pit to Beta5
-better AI - campaign is very easy, even on Hard;
-(i know that might be impossible) 2 player co-op campaign, one base, 2x more units, power divided by players
-replays/mission recording
-campaign editor
-playing the opposite side
-incendiary mortars, howitizers
-something like tech tree - we see what techs will we get on mission X

2. An order to truck like: "Repair only these structures"

3. Skirmish/Multiplay: an option: "Tech 1 only" "Tech 1 and 2 only"

4. Fixed pathfinding - sometimes tanks are blocking; VTOLs too

5. Factories experience - 2 producted units, one point of experience. More experience = faster unit production/cheaper production/producted units have some experience at start

Yeah, i've noticed it too, and it's strange for me too.
-better AI - campaign is very easy, even on Hard;
There are a lot of people crying out loud that the campaign is too easy. Anyway, devs don't like the idea to change the campaign a lot; it's supposed to be close to original.

Possible, but will take some time.
-replays/mission recording
Gonna be fun, even outside the campaign. People still manage to record it as video capture (Daltx).

People do mods here, and it's just the same. It won't get much easier. See the hardcore campaign mod, or even my humble time limit mod.

They're working on it.

Not working with the newest version.
Did you try it actually? Works for me, it was updated recently, check out the last message in that thread.

When I try to play skirmish, game quits.

Oh, I have one question: is there somewhere a modding tutorial?

When I try to play skirmish, game quits.
Ouch, really. Segfaults. My mistake. It worked just a couple of versions ago!
