It's a shame... "Warzone" - such a good game.
And the water - bad.
okay, much better than in warzone 2100 trunk version :)

Ooooh, It's pretty, I'll give you that. :)

Do you do coding as good as you do Photoshop-ing?
(have my fingers crossed and hoping to hear a 'yes')

Beautiful water... made me think about what would be most ideal for me in a game & this is what I came up with: the look or water effects of Bioshock combined with the interactive physics of water in Halo 3.

Then I thought about the scale differences of interaction & the amount of work involved & how the game play focus is in WZ and how quickly the beauty would be set aside cognitively speaking.... and well, you can see where I'm going.

And let me add the sight of dead Baba floating along the water shore line, bloody plumes spreading like thining tendrils from their lifleless bodies.

Now this type realism I would NOT wanna turn off my comp and step outside for. ;)

If I were a programmer, I would have been in the development team.
Alas, I do not know how to program. I'm sorry... :(
My sketches (above) - the best way to show how I see the implementation of the water in my dreams...

Want to see more special effects? I, too!
For example, underwater explosions from long-range artillery (if not hit the target)
Such as below:

Epic battle! :lol2:

Awesomeness cubed -^
"There is no greater Void than the one between your ears." - Void Ray, StarCraft 2.
Especially the Void between the ears of people who think that No VTOL is a good idea, and won't lead to arty wars. I've won one, and I have to say: I hated it.

How it looks and works currently.

The new animation work of Berg and SonOfBerg may have a bearing going forward on improving this.

But these are both practical implications which would appear to have no relevance to this discussion.

paint FTW XD
but couldn't those water splashes be made 3D by some one? i have no idea of how to make effects... an effect couldent be so hard to make if you just knew the right tools...

Water splashes already work in WZ2100 when artillery fire hits water. But I think they are more like 2D graphics. But 3D? Hmmm.. Now even I'm curious about how it's done. Some sort of Animation perhaps? :hmm:
