is a good idea, but , take the example of the AI. they use cheap units to do the exploring. not trucks but repair cyborgs. so take your idea and have it able to change color to what ever team your wanting to visit...(spy on).

Except when the spy truck comes in range of some specified spy-finder or other. This works very well in some of the earlier Settlers versions. There the spy (Thief, I think) could be discovered by any military unit. Warrior Kings Battles had a spy who could also engage in espionage. Very effective. Needed a specialist unit to unmasked them, though.

I rather like this idea, it reminds me of my AOE days, wait was it AOE?? I dunno..
..but anyways..
Me thinks the "spy truck" should be a "spy cyborg" because to me it makes more sense that a humanoid is doing the spying rather than a vehicle.

Cause you don't notice 1 more truck. A Changeling-type unit could be interesting... (Projects an appearance of being the same as any other army unit to the enemy. Ex: Their army is made of Heavy Cannon Python Tracks Tanks. Your spyborg comes in range of them, and looks like one of them to the enemy, allowing you to spy.

Especially the Void between the ears of people who think that No VTOL is a good idea, and won't lead to arty wars. I've won one, and I have to say: I hated it.

True, but but cyborgs are smaller and easier to "hide".. at least from me haha.

A kind of sensor could be used for that goal.zydonk wrote:Except when the spy truck comes in range of some specified spy-finder or other.

Actualy there should be senzor that detect spies, the player it self should etect enemy spy...he must find who is AI that dosent belong to him but you can switch/order cyborg to follow the orders of an enemy so that he cant be "spoted" but i liked my idea a 4 to 6 months ago when i suggested satelites, you build and launch and there are in space, you cant see them or like you can but its higher then vtols are flying...close to player view...
I explained few month ago my idea
