Skirmish Problem

Post by drgnrdr »

Started a Skirmish game Rush-T3. Instead of starting a T3 level it starts at T1. Tried to get a screen shot but that comes out skewed.

1366x768 default on my laptop.I know that is a problem. But like I said it isn't my main problem. Which is trying to play skirmish at T3 level and get T1. Even though it shows T3 on the map. It's just annoying, I prefer to start out at T3.

Yeah, I think that may be a side effect of one of my changes. I'll push out a fix soon.

The problem of T2/T3 not loading correctly. Screenshot, otoh, isn't something I know how to fix.

Yes.
Do the jpg and png both look like that? Then it's probably a video driver problem.

Yes they do. In both the highest resolution 1366x768 and the lowest resolution in game options, I forget which it is.

Can you play in windowed mode if you are playing in fullscreen mode, and see if it does the same thing ?
It is a option in the video menu.

Just tried it fullscreen doesn't have the problem. Looks as it's supposed to.

I always play fullscreen, bigger buttons means faster and easier management.

I agree. Since I can't figure out what's causing the screenshot being skewed. And all my drivers are up to date. I'll have to take screenshots in window mode if needed.

When you get the chance, add --debug all to the END of your shortcut, and while in fullscreen mode, hit F10, and exit the game.
Then attach the WZlog*.txt file here. * is the date the program was run.

If your Target line for the shortcut is "c:\where I installed warzone\Warzone 2100\warzone2100.exe" then you need to change it so it is "c:\where I installed warzone\Warzone 2100\warzone2100.exe" --debug all

Once done, remove the --debug all again.

Did what you said. Got the log files, but won't do any good because now the problem is fixed. Here's the new screenshot.

I just uninstalled and reinstalled game about 2 hours ago, that might of fixed it. It's the only thing I've done to the game since last night besides play the game of course. It's got me stumped.

That is .... odd. The installer does a crc check to make sure the files are valid, so a reinstall should never be needed.

Oh well, at least you got it to work.
