Well Zarel, like any joke, if you don't get it right off then it's not your type of humor and explaining won't change that.

That said - Berg's humor technique has a bonafide name & history - it's called "Surreal Humor". There's a fairly descent article in Wikipedia on it's history & tropes.

Funny, creative, out-of-the-box & within the bounds of what most would consider "in good taste". I like it.

Btw - there are more folks who have made millions out of their sense of humor than there are folks who have succeeded at anything with dour or pedestrian dispositions. And pulling the "age card" is really terribly uninformed - besides being totally irrelevant.

BTW... It's "Warzone 2100". When the game came out, NoBody use Uber1337 writing styles... Alternatively all in capitals as "WARZONE 2100". This way nobody will do a mistake and it's in the game loike this aswell.

I bet Matt Groening had to hear pre 1977:

"Matt, you really need to refine your drawing style."

Even after 1977 with the launch of "Life Is Hell" he still probably had to hear:

"Well Matt, it's kinda cool humor and socially provocative but your drawing style, really dude, those rabbits look like Steely Dans with slugs for ears. Come on man, a little refinement seems in order."

But since 1985 I'm sure Matt hasn't heard a peep about refining his drawing style. That was the year the world was first introduced to the "Simpsons".

I wouldn't be surprised if Mark Chagall & Paul Klee had similar experiences early on.
