Replacing structures (auto demolish + build new)

Post by mrvn »

Hi,

sometimes I would like to upgrade a line of turrets with better defences. Wouldn't it be nice if one could select a truck, select the new structure and then drag a line across the turrets? The truck should then demolish each turret in turn and replace it with the selected new structure.

It's been suggested before, and I believe under consideration.

Read this thread and add comments there.

There really isn't much to comment on that thread, seems like WZ developers are already aware of this desirable improvement. That's at least some good news. :)

Maybe it could be added to the "accepted" or WIP ideas list :)

You're right, maybe they could, if they have made up their mind on it. :)

On second thought, I'm not sure about "Auto-demolish on Building" when dragging over a strip of structures, it may be a good idea still.

But I would definitely like to see a Click+Drag+Drop feature added to the Truck's/Engineer's demolish action. Then I wouldn't have to produce a click for each and every single structure/turret/bunker/wall which are in a straight row. If they can be built by Click+Drag+Drop , then it would make sense that they could also be demolished the same way.
