Can we include the map editor in the game?

I would like to be able to use the map editor within the game. I wanna be able to click on the game, then under all the options be able to click on "Map Editor" and creat a map within the game, will this be possible?

Not in the near future, no.

Why is it so important to have it inside the game? Is it so much harder to exit the game and double-click on the map editor, than to go to the main menu and click on the map editor?

What I would like to see is Diorama incorporated into the game. It's a little harder for us Windows users to just exit out and run Diorama.
