It pays to be nosey when devs post links. :lol2:
Does it mean it's ready? or still in planning?

I guess you can try it?
AFAIK, when he posted that link, he said he'll be back in a few weeks.

Any new feature/tool that is ready for the public use will be announced as seen fit when and if it seems appropriate. Considering that it's not yet been announced, it's not certain if it will be used after testing.

Buginator proposed IdeaTorrent on the ML, but it didn't go anywhere.

This was the only reply:

We don't need more ideas, we need more implementers! Just take a look at all the
proposal pages in the trac-wiki.

I dislike all this information scattering and if you ask the community they'll
always be for it :/ (It's like a present for them :P)

On the other hand: It's impossible for me to keep track of _all_ the stuff we
already have (IRC, ML, forums, tickets, wiki, guide, SVN), so it would just add
one more item to the list :P

I have to agree with Kreuvf's points Zarel - the only point of revamping a 'new ideas' section is saying "we've got crap to do but not doing it!"

Have you guys read https://launchpad.net/ideatorrent ?
It can be set up the same way.

With the idea torrent, you can vote up / down stuff, so people don't have to keep posting the same ideas over and over and over ...

That is only one of the reasons though. :ninja:
and it ends here.

Personally, I still think IdeaTorrent is a good idea.

I've enabled it now. Let's see what happens.

https://sourceforge.net/apps/ideatorrent/warzone2100/ - you need some sort of extra account for it, but not necessarily a special Sourceforge account. It also accepts any OpenID account, when you need to log in, it shows you what accounts you can use there.
