Kaj si i ti iz hrvatske??? :) Ja sam taj koji prevodi na hrvatski, i ne ide mi jer se baš ne razumijem u vojne termine :?
Odgovori na pitanja:
  • Mapping:
    1. When devs decide to.
    2. You don't need to place starting positions in WZ, you just start placing units and structures, but usually CC is used as starting point.
    3. You mean on Scavangers or on features? For scavs, use player 7, and for features, just place them.
  • Moddeling: I don't understand this stuff, but for number of polygons: As low as possible.
  • Texturing: Same as modeling.
Daltx made some video tutorials, but not about translating. I recommend you to use Poedit.

I don't know much about the modelling, but as for the cyborg animations, a user by the name of Xanax did some work quiet a while ago, some poking around may reveal how he did it.

Hope it helps,

Well i dont think that models should be extremely low poly,i would like to remove extra polygons that are not needed!!
I dint like extra polygons because they could use more in details and stuff...When i saw 3D artwok of Dev team, i saw that they probavly using much polygons in Research Compound & HQ model so much polygons for the game!

They should use polygons in more proper way and not in spending engine polygons performance so that there is not 1ghz & 32mb requirments so people to play in brazil but they probavly want 1.7ghz & 64mb VRAM so they are probavly sacrificing players from South America to get more audience but they will fail in one way...

UnInrational using of polygons and unprecise using of textures pixels would cause probavly errors or 25% higher sistem requirments...

I heard somewhere that 256 poys is the maximum for a wz model.
In AR we make the turrets ~100 polys so that they can be used in hi-oil multiplayer games and still keep performance high.
Larger bodies and models can have more polys and buildings can propably have as many as the file format supports.

The textures are png:s and you make animated textures as a series of pictures in a row on the same texpage

-insert deep philosophical statement here-
