Hey. I stay at home all day with nothing to do except play this game. I think it would be fun to make my own maps and such, but i don't know how. I was wondering if anyone would be able to teach me what i need to know regarding editing/making mods/creation of other things and so on. I'm a good learner, and I would really appreciate any help i could get. I'm 16, so i don't have a degree or something, but I hope to be involved with a game like this one. Please, if you can help me please shoot me an email at [email protected]. Thank you so much-

Re: Learning How to Edit Maps
you might find using the warzone map editor more to your needs if you wish to make maps for warzone.

Re: Learning How to Edit Maps
.
Besides getting the FlaME WZ Map Editor installed and reading BM's Manual you study the good work of others like the stock maps that come with the game and then emulate the best practices by making maps. I suggest making your basic design details first with ordinary pen and paper because making a quality map is a complex effort requiring patience, time and care. Also learn to do as much of your foundational work first in your Height Map. Like any skill there is absolutely no substitute for deep and continuous practice. There are a few master map makers still active in the community with 100's to 1000s of WZ map making under their belts who will offer you constructive input on any work you produce. My thread on "Aqua Co-op SE" covers many of the relevant details involved high level map making including specific recommendations on making the all-important initial height map early on in the threads postings.
