I was playing on a map called "Berlin" (T2) to watch how the scavengers would behave. Here's what I noticed:
1: They like to harass oil derricks (that was intended).
2: They send out small numbers of units to harass the derricks.
3: They have the power to wipe out heavy cannon python hover tanks (whether or not they can destroy tracked units is unclear because I've yet to see them produce any.
4: They are very protective of their bases.
5: The scavengers alone could have wiped out the other AI's bases pretty quickly, due to the fact that the scavengers control the oil-rich half of the map.
6: The other AI players have yet to destroy a single scavenger base.
My opinion is that if you want a good scavenger mod, I would recommend dydo-scav.
Dylan-Dog, if you're reading this, my suggestions for the non-scavenger AI would be.
1: Have the units focus on the scavengers' defenses, one at a time.
2: Bring a good number of anti-personnel units.
3: Build more mortars to out-range the scavengers' defenses, especially when their power is limited.
4: Try not to send so many trucks out to build derricks because the scavengers will arrive before they can build defenses.
5: Have the units gather inside their bases before they attack a scavenger base, rather than sending small groups to attack.
There may be some things I'm not aware of, so please enlighten me if there are.
@Dylan-Dog ---> Keep up the good work. Your scavenger AI can actually beat your non-scavenger AI, when given the right conditions.
