Intel GMA 900 (915G), hoping to soon replace it by GeForce 220, 240 or 9500.

I just placed an order for AMD Phenom(TM) II X6 1090T Six-Core CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX275. Should arrive in a week or so.. I'm pretty excited having never actually bought a new machine before - I've always existed on hand-me-downs and whatnot.

OH WOW OH WOW! AMD actually makes 6 cores! I build them things and I didn't even know about them having 6 cores.

As far as I know they're brand new - It was weird how it worked out actually, I placed an order for the quad core and then went out for a while, when I returned and completed, I didn't notice my order had been updated with the new processor.

I hope it's worth it. It did mean I couldn't afford the GTX280, though I hear the GTX275 is still a quality card and will work nicely with linux. Always an option in the future to run two of them in SLI I suppose.

Considering my current box is a 1.6GHz single core Athlon, 1gb of ram and ATI 9600 card.. it should fly.

My main video card is an RC410 ATI Xpress 200M. In other words = crap.

(I think I may have just marked the wrong one, but anyways.. :) )

I'm using an nVidia GeForce GTS 250.
It handles everything I've thrown at it on high. :)
