4c-CityWarfare Alpha/Beta
Hi people and thank you for clicking to this topic!
If you read my older topic of 4c-CityWarfare then thank you, this is new topic to my map!
Why?Well i think that my map from alpha to beta releases will only be in this topic and if you see any bug just tell me where is the bug on the map,any errors,etc...

Download Description & probavly instruction:
Alpha 0.1 - The east part of the map is about 50% complete well the west is 1% complete(highway).
Pre-Alpha screenshots - some a from beggining but some were from close alpha stage.
You will notice some difriences and there will be!
Il reccomend to play it on T3,Low resource,Advance Base!
If you dont see Cyborgs in that setting or below then iam sorry,you wont have kiborg chaingunners to protect you!
If you dont see mg bunker then iam sorry you wont have defense from even primitive assault vehicles!
Map Storyline Alpha 0.1 :
The citizens of this city(Player0) are retreated to one small place.They constructed Command Center,Cyborg Factory.
They builded for defense few mg bunkers and AA for future VTOL attacks!
The group called Zeus(Player1) is trying to control the city near harbor,they just arrived as other two factions!
Other two factions are Chain(Player2) and RisingStar(Player3). They both had some cyborgs with mg as the citizen force and mgs but they dint builded Command Center & Cyborg Factory...
Objectives: Destroy enemies and secure oil resources
Tips: Hide your troops behind buildings to suprise them or to take temporaly cover from enemy bombardment!
Tips2:Dont destroy building if you dont need space to build if you do maybe enemy senzor vehicle will detect and see that there is an missing building.
Tips3: Make small outpost so that you can claim your territory and to block the way to enemy to advance!

-WARNING-
The features are mixed Arizona/Urban/RockyMountain features...So you wont see Urban & RockyMountains feature because there is no still Universal Feature patch!

Couldn't even look at it for long with the Arizona Base so I did quickie conversion to Urban - for me personally, much better.
Here's a pic.
There's is so much potential for new fun game play with Urban Buildings which I hope you continue to explore and discover with this project.
BTW - your HM is VERY rough and rudimentary - much aesthetic work ahead of you there which also directly impacts both overall unit movement and Ski A.I. player "intelligent" play. At this stage you cannot really gauge the game play with all the unoptimized and unfinished ground level work. I'll have to wait till you get much further along before I can say anything with certainty on that score.

Well it looks totaly difriend and its hard to see what part of the map is in height - 0 and what part of map is in height 200 or 150 :/
Well i like my style, Its a city and you need to destroy blocades and its not good for AI"s...

Yea the Urban tiles need to be redone - there chroma has not enough contrast between types, IMHO. Still, like I said in the other thread, you can make this a map for just all human MP in which case you'd let peeps know upfront it ain't gonna be much good for Skirmish vs. A.I. Players. That is certainly your call as the map maker.

Update :
There will be updates soon, il release soon Alpha 0.5v !!
The map is larger,there will be some major changes in the concept,there will not be always buildings or damaged sites,there will be some small forest or something like that.
A good hiding place for something.
Maybe a small base or something else.
I hope that you will be satisfied with new updates soon!

We will like whatever you give us, don't worry, it's motivating for us to see you working so seriously on this.. you are setting an example for us all. After mapping you could get into modelling and show us a couple of tricks...MetalWarrior95 wrote:Update :

Update :
The final version (2.0) will be probavly released after next release of Warzone 2100 gets universal feature patch!
So when you play alphas and betas, you would see structures because the game dosent have universal feature patch!

Since you're learning to design maps, how about trying something challenging so that everyone will appreciate it, like having dams in your maps? No animation, just simple dams, as a part of the map

Oh, and "Dams" were first done in 2000. They were "fake" of course and without proper anims but still looked not too bogus. They were done by making custom "Struct" tertiles, carefully adjusting the vertices by hand, and utilizing the rudimentary transparency channel that existed / was supported back then in the .pcx format used.

It was alot of changes, i hope that some people could make Universal Feature Patch for this version or all 2.3.X version
It will be finished probavly this month if i dont get some delays.
Full versions will be released as soon as posible but if is there some UF Patch!

Animations are not important, at least not yet, just a basic map with a dam in it as art would be a nice first stepRman Virgil wrote:

I got some very useful input from an experienced Mapper. He says the UF patch may not be available any time soon. Think of it as a learning experience to get you on your way to perfecting mapping. Remember, your first project never has to be perfect, it can be imperfect.. From your first project you will see what can be improved, and then you can go to your second project... And so on...
