Hi all,
I have three .pie -modells (new bodies), and want to add them to the game with a mod (wz version: 2.30). So, what did i have to do? Which files need to be changed? Or: Where can I find a Tutorial for adding bodies.
Jason
Ps.: Sorry for my bad english

Information about it can be found here: TxtEditing
However, really making a mod is much harder.

Re: Add bodies
Can you share your models here?
You have a choice how to do this:
If you want simply replace standart bodies open files base.wz (campaign) or mp.wz (multiplayer).
1) Copy your *.pie in folder \components\bodies\
Then open \wrf\piestats.wrf with notepad and add your *.pie ex.:
directory "components/bodies"
file IMD "MYBOD.pie"
Then open stats\body.txt and change model for the chosen body (ex.:
Body12SUP,Level All,HEAVY,55,350,2100,180,DRHBOD12.PIE,500,1,20000,18,18,18,18,18,18,18,18,18,18,18,18,fxvtl12.pie,1
to:
Body12SUP,Level All,HEAVY,55,350,2100,180,MYBOD.PIE,500,1,20000,18,18,18,18,18,18,18,18,18,18,18,18,fxvtl12.pie,1
2) The most simple way is to replace *.pie of the body with your own *.pie (names must be the same).
If you want to add new reseach and new body it's more difficult but I can explain how to do this if needed.

Re: Add bodies
Thx, worked perfect. But adding new bodies also would be interesting
. I post my modells in showcase-thread when they are ready.
For the old wz (1.10-1.12) there was a tool called "Warzone Customizer Kit", is there something same for the new wz?

You'll find that posting your models and such on the showcase thread is a good way to recieve community feedback, and further improve your abilities. Don't worry, we don't bite.

Actually, we would recommend posting in Mapping / Modding if you're looking for feedback on unfinished work, or work you think could still be improved.Christheturtle wrote:You'll find that posting your models and such on the showcase thread is a good way to recieve community feedback, and further improve your abilities. Re: Add bodies
I would like to note here that it would be lovely to see more txt files posted on this site explaining their functions. For example resultstructure.txt.It's a pain to add a tower that id like to the game with out seeing what i do there.
