"Return for Repair" button would be better if disabled when a Repair Facility has not been built yet. And some information in a pop-up bubble that I must build a Repair facility for this feature to work would be nice. Hmmm?
P.S.: I thought this was a bug because all the units would just crowd around the Command Center. But, not surprisingly, so did many other people on the forum.

It is useful when you don't have repair facilities yet , but you have some repair units at your HQ.

Hi Kuky,

But as a first time player ( that's me, who should have played the tutorial first , but wanted to be hero
) who got into the game straight away, atleast a pop-up info would be nice if there is no Repair Facility, for example,
"Damaged vehicle returning to HQ for repairs. Try to build Repair Facility to continue with repairs"
or
"Repair Facility not built yet, but damaged vehicle still returning to HQ"
What do you think? Or maybe somebody can suggest something better.
Yes, I agree, I reached the stage where I could build Repair Turrets. It is useful when you don't have repair facilities yet , but you have some repair units at your HQ.

Well, making any kinds of in-game guides or hints is very hard/impossible until Beta-Widget is finished. Until then, you have to rely on in-game tutorial which is no good, and online guide which is, fortunately, pretty good, but still misses some parts.

Re: Return for Repair for vehicles
There are Repair units available, but the Factory can build them only after the Research Facility has finished researching. So until that happens, damaged units will just crowd around Command Center when we click on "Return for Repairs".
The problem is that the gamer may not understand this. He/she may think that this is a bug in the software. So at least informing the user why the units are not getting repaired is a feature that may be useful, and save time for the gamer who is wondering why this is happening.

You ever thought about recycling the damaged units? Until you get repair turret, this works well as the scavengers are not asking too much attention.

That works, too. But you get repair turret really fast, at the end of first level, and first level scavs aren't really dangereous, so it isn't worth it.Corporal Punishment wrote:You ever thought about recycling the damaged units? Well here's what I thought: How about making a relay point for the HQ, that would mark the place where all the units will go to repair. This way, it wont be so crowded near the HQ, with all the buildings and stuff...

That could be useful sometimes, but it doesn't make sense.iap wrote:Well here's what I thought: How about making a relay point for the HQ, that would mark the place where all the units will go to repair. This way, it wont be so crowded near the HQ, with all the buildings and stuff...
