Re: New music - 'Reconnaissance'
I've spent some time trying to translate a music I've originally composed for classical nylon guitar, into PC - mostly to get used to the program's interface
I'd like to share it with you (of course it's very far from anything suitable for warzone, it's actually a song about myself and my past, and it's constantly getting lengthier, for obvious reasons
Hope you like it, and also hope that this doesn't make Lee too angry due to its off-topicness
Also, please don't be too fussy, I've started composing music only in the past year (even though I've started playing guitar 2 and a half years ago)
I've rendered it using 112 kbps for it to fit the attachment limitations. ~Olrox

The only thing that makes me slightly angry is that I haven't ever managed to compose anything anywhere near as complex as that! I play a little bass & guitar, but beyond a few chords & a couple of scales, I know no music theory - I just learned from messing around on my own. Most of the stuff I make is pretty simple but heavy on the FX & modulation, since you don't have to be a musical genius to do that - you just need a lot time & patience to figure out 'what does this knob do?'
Did you make that in FL Studio (am I hearing someone actually getting a decent sound out of FL Keys?

Here is one I made. It illustrates the multi instrument concept and the varied phrase concept. However something funny happened to the original source and therefore the end is kinda weird

Did you make that in FL Studio (am I hearing someone actually getting a decent sound out of FL Keys?), or did you find another program?
Yeah, I've made that using FL studio, using FL keys "dark piano". Actually only by using piano roll and almost only regular cells, since I've still got to get used to the functions of the program
It indeeds makes one want to buy the full version after a few hours messing with it, it's a very nice software!

Hehe, I thought I smelled Garage Band on that. I'll give Apple that, it's a neat little program for what it is!
