Opportunities to observe & learn from the social intercourse which can run the gamut from stupifying, to stultifying, to singularly stellar.

Opportunities to excercise the full range of one's faculties with grace &, when apt, an incandescent wit.

And alas, on occasion, enabling memes both enchanting & generative.

Probably it is to irritate people that care about your posts, by making them cheap and half-witted.
IMO this topic isn't fun and doesn't add anything to the community (disconsidering the post from Rman) - it'd be useless if it couldn't be used as a bad example.
